I am new to this, but after a long tenure with a central illinois club, I am looking to see if there is any persons interested in starting a new small club in central illinois?

if you had a "long tenure" then what exactly are you new to?

there are already a few fine clubs here in central illinois region. it's better to hook up with one of them than try to form another club with only a few kids in it.

Help

I always suggest trying to improve the club you are with first. If that is not a posibility then contact me via private message. I've ran 3 programs over the past couple decades and I will assist you anyway I can.

Good Luck

I was "released" my from duties at my previous club for being ejected at one tourney last year. I am willing to do alot of work, and did the majority of work for my previous club. Looking for a strong group of 8 to 10 wrestlers in Central Illinois to form a small club and wrestler a lot of tourney's.

You have 8 to 10 wrestlers or you are looking for 8 to 10 to coach? And how central are you?

Do you have a wrestler or wrestlers?

Or are you just looking to coach and start a program or add to a program?

I think it's best that you try to fit in with another club. Being ejected and trying to be the president or head coach of a new club sounds like a bad idea.

If your only transgression was getting kicked out of one tourny I understand your wanting to move on. If there was more to it than that, I commend the club for relieving you of your duties. If more clubs held the adults up to the standards we wish our young athletes to strive for our sport would be better off. This is coming from someone who learned from the mistakes he made as a young coach and who knows he still has some improving to do.

It would be a Coles County based club. I was very active in the Mattoon Club but got ejected once this year and then the club dismissed me from the baord and as a coach. It was very upsetting as I did more than most and went to more practices and tourney's then any of the coaches or board. Now that the season is coming close I want to continue to promote the sport. My kids will not wrestle for MYWC again, so I need to find a club for them or start a new small club. Interested in any comments.
