Throwback Thursday: Prater Vs Lloyd

If you are a fan of good scrambling, then you have to see this 2007 IHSA Class AA 135-pound state championship match between Ryan Prater of Plainfield Central and Cartice Lloyd of Bremen. The final scramble is considered by many as the greatest scramble in IHSA state tournament history.

Bill Honeycutt referee biting his whistle till the right moment, showing patience. (same ref for Murphy/Schneider)

Agreed! Good work by the ref! A lot of guys would have given Lloyd the 2 on the double!

How about the bogus stall call on Lloyd? Honeycutt nailed that one too, eh?

Also, how is Red's head gear legal with a bow tie under it. A kid could lose a finger in it.
