Match Scoring question

Freestyle. 4 man round robin.
Wrestler A goes 2-1; 2 falls against B & C, 1 loss by fall to D (this is the only kid who wrestled wrestler B)
Wrestler B goes 0-1; by fall to A and decides to quit, he is scratched by the ref.
Wrestler C goes 2-1; 1 dec over D, 1 Bye over B (or forfeit), 1 loss by fall to A
Wrestler D goes 2-1; 1 fall against wrester A, 1 Bye over B, 1 loss dec to C
How does the criteria work? I thought freestyle was point driven which gives A 10 points, B 0, C 3, & D 5. Yet in this case D was 1st place due to head-to-head.

And, in Freestyle, can you be pinned with one shoulder out of bounds?

It is all about classification points, at first. 5-0 winner by fall, forfeit, default
4-0 winner by two tech falls with opponent not scoring any points, 4-1 winner by two tech falls with opponent scoring in the match, 3-0 winner by decision and opponent not scoring any points, 3-1 winner by decision with opponent scoring in the match. The total classification points you have for each wrestler do not seem accurate. A would have 10 as would D. Therefore, head to head determines winner, I believe.

I agree that it was the right scoring per head to head criteria. But in Freestyle a Bye is 0 and the ref scratched the kid, making it a bye. When a kid just outright quits for no reason he screws up he whole bracket because it becomes a forfeit, not a match.
It doesn't matter much anyway, just trying to learn the rules. We're new to the sport.

If a wrestler is scratched and you want to say that it is a bye, then no wrestler can score points against that opponent taking 5 classification points away from A which still makes D the winner. Wrestlers C and D can't be put at a disadvantage in opportunity to score classification points that wrestler A was given. However, you state that a wrestler quitting screws up his bracket because it becomes a forfeit, not a match. A forfeit is always 5-0 classification points. While I am not a pairer, it seems logical that all wrestlers either would score 0 or 5 against B as it would also not be fair if a wrestler only won by decision and the rest got a forfeit.
