I notice that Trayvon's mother is trying to get a copyright on the two t-shirts that are popular; "I am Trayvon" and "Justice for Trayvon".
If your child died would you want other people making money off his likeness and image?

I actually spoke to my attorney about something similar to this (not this specific situation, of course). He told me that he would advise his client to do the same thing, if anything to raise money for legal funds. I'm not saying anything or passing any moral judgment on her, I'm just saying it could be more than just her looking to make a buck.

i agree, however, it does look bad. it's just brutal to see the bias on the media trying to make a terrible situation even worse.

Oh, she will make more than a buck. She will collect on the t-shirts and then I can GUARAN-FING-TEE there will be a massive civil suit involved regardless of what happens in a potential criminal case. Such is life in the land of litigation...

At the beginning of all this, they said they were in constant contact with him and he was doing everything he should have. Now it's total opposite. I know they are totally downplaying the prosecutors choice to not go to grand jury, but I can't help but wonder if he has decided to run if charges are filed and they are covering their bases. They said at their news conference he is not in Florida but they do know his cell phone number and still feel he will do whats right. I just have a bad feeling about this given how much his lawyers have publicly spoken for him and claimed he was a great client and doing what they say. Seems like it would take more than one night of not checking in for them to come to this decision.

no doubt he moved out of state, he'd be crazy if he didn't with all the media attention. my guess, he hasn't paid the retainer....remember, a website just started up looking for contributions.
