Thank You!

I would like to thank all the parents, coaches and wrestlers who came and supported the 3rd Annual IWAY Wrestling tournament. We appreciate your patience and understanding and congrats to all the wrestlers. Good luck at NUWAY!

IWAY takes full responsibility for the late start. Our trackwrestling skills were not up to par. This is the first time we have used this software so we foresee minimal issues in the future. We also did not anticipate as many walk-ups as we had so it took hours to input the athletes into trackwrestling.

Our officials are young, but are all IKWF Certified and many of them have been officiating for 4 or more years.

As for the concessions that is something that is privately contracted through North Central College and we have no control over. I will discuss this with North Central College.

Thank you to all of the parents and coaches for guiding us through trackwrestling to get the tournament running. It is important to us to produce a quality product and will strive to do so in the future. We hope we see all of you again next year.

It has been my experience in running tournaments that 25-50 will preregister and 200-250 will walk-up the morning of the tournament. Let me know if you need anything else.
Was there more than 250 walk ups?

i could not care less about the concessions or the awards. i think it is great that you give your college wrestlers a job reffing. they were fine but i have been going to little kids wrestling tourneys for 15 years and to charge $25 to take that long to wrestle 250 kids has to be some kind of record. maybe try No.2 pencils and preprinted bout sheets instead of those fancy-smancy computers.

computer issues OE

I'll have to defend Trackwrestling as I have yet to see any issues with the software. Every problem I've seen has been due to OE (Operator Error).

BTW You do not have to have everyone in a bracket to start printing bout sheets

Haven’t seen any Operators blaming Track, including the Operators running this tournament. It appears that they will be using this software again so they must be pleased with it. Any Operators out there ever have a problem with Trackwrestling software?

Full disclosure: I am not affiliated with Track, only a satisfied user of same.

It is my understanding that there is no such thing as IKWF certification for officials. They are registered by simply filling out a form and paying their fee.

Unlike IHSA, there is no practical or written test required to be registered as an IKWF official.

If I am mistaken, please educate this forum on the IKWF referee certification process.
