What do you think of the 7 Minutes Movie Trailer?

It had some good stuff and some definite bad stuff.
The acting skill just wasn't there, granted it was just an independent film. Also, some of the scenes with the girl were kind of so/so.

I definently liked the way it went out. The ending of the trailor is very powerful.

And the quick clips of the guy working out was also enjoyable.

Just looking at this trailer, this movie does seem to have promise. Low budget to be sure, and due to the low budget the production (sound, sets) quality isn't the same as a multi-million dollar movie, it just can't be.

However I was quite impressed by the acting, and I think it will be even better when watching the full feature. Remember these guys are real wrestlers. Wrestlers can act better than actors can wrestle. I think it will become very apparent during the wrestling scenes that hollywood can't duplicate the heart and sole of the sport that these guys can.

I really think this is what the wrestling community wants in a movie, just put the low production stuff behind you. Napolean Dynamite was very low production and no one seemed to care.

trailer didn't look bad. Still have a bad taste regarding Reversal. The hype sounded good but wasn't impressed at all with the movie.

Hopefully this will be better.

In many people's opinion Reversal took sort of the "dark side" approach whether on purpose or not. Delving deeply into parent expectations and weight control expecially for a "high school" film didn't sit well with many people regardless of the fact that much of it is very true.
From what I've found out about 7minutes by reading interviews ect. there will be aspects of the sport shown that are undesirable, such as weight cutting and title 9, but those aren't the main focus points, they are put in the film as matter-of-fact subjects that are part of the sport we love. I think the actual wrestling aspect, and team emphasis (which has been left out of every other wrestling film) are going to be important parts of this movie.
I also think that actually having wrestlers as the actors will be a HUGE positive, at least in my mind. Why not give the guys who have actually lived it a chance to portray it? I'm all for supporting something created for wrestlers by wrestlers regardless if it is Oscar material or not.
I also really liked the theme music from Coldplay in the trailer, it fit perfectly.

I agree with alot of what has already been posted about the trailer. It has some promise and I am looking forward to the movie. Good luck with everything.

The movie looks decent but there are a few things I didn't really like too much. Like I didn't really like the wrestling matches in the dark with a light on the mat. I don't know if all the wrestling scenes are like that or if it was just for that specific one. Also I did not like the acting from the main character and the red head I thought both were terrible. The rest of the guys are decent actors and the cocky freshman wrestler guy seems like the best actor you have. I think he should of been the main character.

Hope I'm wrong but it looks pretty predictable and the acting looks pretty weak. I don't know exactly what I was expecting but I was disappointed in the trailer.

I see the guys at 7 minutes have reworked their trailer. They have much more wrestling footage in it. you can see it at www.thewrestlingrecap.com if you have QuickTime video. I like it better than the first.
