Burroughs in the Gold Medal Match
Now that's more like it!
Haze did have a tough draw. I'm left to wonder how Cejudo would have done at this Olympics had he won the trails. |

Match at 1:48?
The time shown on www.nbcolympics.com is 7:48 London time which I believe to be 1:48 Central Time. I expect that it will be webcast at the nbc website.

All I See Is GOLD!!!
Burroughs was a lot more conservative than I expected but when he decided to pull the trigger at the end of both periods he scored easily with that Darned Double!

His double leg was UNstoppable. I was really impressed with his first period win in the semis vs the Russian, down 1-0 he hit the TD, right into a leg lace, AND then got the push-out for the 3-1 first period win. Awesome.

Cejudo's fire is gone. The real question is how would Nick Simmons, whom I believe took a bronze last year at World's, have done? Haze ha always had Simmons despite Simmons being probably the better international competitor of the 2.

I thought the same thing James. Simmons is the better international wrestler, i dont think I've ever seen Haze wrestle well at a international competion. He is tought, Haze that is, but Simmons is far better with turns.
