I hope the IHSA takes note; OPRF, Sandburg, Marist and Mt Carmel were all in the same sectional last year..along with HC (Marist and Sandburg in the same regional).

According to some people that sectional wasnt the toughest in the state. They should not only keep them all, but add Lockport, Minooka, and Plainfield Central. Now wouldn't that be fun? In all seriousness I think if a southern city like Edwardsville or Granite City get a sectional instead of a Lincoln Way or another suburban school Marist and Sandburg will be in that sectional (hopefully not in the same regional) Thats only a guess on my part because I remember hearing that because Lincoln Way Central hosted a sectional this year that is why Marist and Sandburg were in the DLS sectional. Also some people think Marist hosting a regional kept them close to home. Again this is just a guess. The only thing we know for sure is what schools changed classes

I guess that would make it easier for the CCL to win it then!

Champagne

MSLWrestler119,

Champagne will probably be going to MONTINI or LOWELL (IN). We should know pretty soon as it's the end of July. He will NOT be attending Mount Carmel.

OPRF

I don't know the other teams very well, but Gahagan, Pickering, Early, Mahomes, Ariola, Lee and Rundell should have very good seasons.

This possible lineup is looking pretty scary....

106. Roberto Campos (Fr.) Figured he'd be at Bolingbrook.
113. Matt Rundell (So.)
120. Darius Henry (Sr.)
126. John Gahagan (Jr.)
132. Larry Early (So.)
138. Jake O'Mara (Sr.)
145. Kamal Bey (Fr.)
152. Zach Pickering (Sr.)
160. Devonte Mahomes (Jr.)
170. Joe Ariola (Sr.)
182. Allen Stallings (Fr.)
195. Andre Lee (Jr.)
220. Emonte Logan (Jr.)
285,????
The state tournament will be littered with O.P.R.F. once again with a real tough freshman class coming in.

Next time Rundell sees 13 it will be 213! 120 will be tough for him make.
