Good riddance Joe Paterno

This guy helped to cover up the molesdting of children. What is wrong with people? Students of Penn St. that are rallying around him should be ashamed! People are scrambling to get tickets to Sat's game to send him off. Maybe it's me, but I don't get it!

I think Paterno had thought he went to the proper chain of command and put the authority in the right hands. In time it's been proven they didn't continue on to the proper people. Paterno not following up on his initial report is what he is going to have to live with. It's too bad to end such a long and successful career on such a bad decision.

It is a horrible situation for everyone involved. Paterno admitted he should have done something. How do you not instantly call the police? This case will give us a small window into college athletics and the lengths that "institutions of higher learning" will go to to protect their share of the $!

What a shame that the coach with the best reputation in the history of college sports will be remembered for this. One thing that hurt him is..........he prided himself with not using a computer. Anytime I report an incident I do so in person and then follow up with an email. That way you have documentation. The thing I don't understand is how he would see the perv on campus and not even ask him what happened.

If this true, Joe Paterno not looking good..., has there been any response from Franco Harris? - The thing I wonder about is that there were tough, ex football players who knew...-shouldn't someone have been punched in face & dragged down to the police station at least at some point? The guy who witnessed it looks like a huge dude...but I guess there are so many weird aspects...

That is common for many old folk. I work at a hospital and there are many old school doctors that don't like using computers and would avoid them if they could.

Im not defending Paterno, but I saw a report where Mike Mquerry said he never told Paterno he saw a rape just those two in the shower. I will with hold judgement till I hear that Paterno knew exactly what happened. He was told the day after, I think Mike Mquerry is a moron for not calling police right away, he just saw a kid being raped and just left, what the He## is wrong with that guy. How about the school Adminstrator who one of the accused said he told and didn't beleive him, or the police, it seems like many people knew that Sandusky was sick dude, but not till they all got together some years later did this guy get put in jail. The whole situation is disgusting, Sandusky, until last year, still had picture painted on the Penn State Wall immortalizing him. Thats really messed up.

Jimbob, you gotta read the new CNN report. Curly and Spanier were ready to go to the police until JoePa told them not to. It's all on him. Scumbag piece of garbage.
