Thanks for clearing that up, I would have sworn that Herbert won the silver at the World Championship the year that he won his last NCAA title, oh well, another senior moment.

You're not slipping nearly as bad as you think! Jake won his second NCAA title and the Dan Hodge trophy in 2009 which was also the year that he took second in the World Championships.

You were correct, it just wasn't in the past two years.

If you buy me a beer sometime I will tell you. It is somewhat a long story, but it can be summed up in the statement that he had a different philosophy than the one that is currently followed, among other things.

Seems like the US has trouble with Cuba in wrestling & we are like 200x their population. One of top guys were knocked out of the Olympics by Cuba last time. When the Olympics are in Brazil in 2016?, there will be bjj - I bet they dominate, although you don't see Brazil do much in wrestling - they are definitely a big player in MMA, they may hold all the titles soon. a bit off the subject - Did you see that fight with Jake Ellenberger or whatever a like a year ago, the Brazilian was just sitting on him with a body lock, but they gave to Ellenberger?sp for ?reasons - I guess because the brazilian figured he didn't have to throw a punch. Totally outwrestled a top us wrestler.
