120-pound preliminary round wrestling action between Mount Zion's Nate Jozsa and Wauconda's Devin Tortorice. Tortorice advanced to the quarterfinals on Friday after defeating Jozsa, 4-2. Click on the photo to see more pics from this match.




Geneseo's Oliver Newton and Highland's Dustin Rosborough wrestle to advance to the Class 2A quarterfinal round in their 195-pound bout. Newton stuck Rosborough 1:47 in his hunt for a possible state title. Click on the photo to see more pics from this match.

Preliminary round wrestling action between Rock Island's Kyle Kerres and Lincoln-Way West's Josh Reuttiger. Kerres came out on top in their 152-pound bout with a 14-13 decision.




Rock Island's Ignace Hakizimana and Lincoln-Way West's Matt Ryan go at it in their 120-pound bout. Hakizimana won by major decision, 15-2.




113-pound preliminary round wrestling action between Tinley Park's David McDonald and Tyler Espino. McDonald won the bout by decision 6-4 to advance to the quarterfinals on Friday.





Urbana's Cameron Mammen and Rock Island's Michael Cole wrestle to advance to the Class 2A quarterfinal round in their 170-pound bout on Thursday evening. Mammen won their match with a pin at 2:46. Click on photo to see more from this match.
