Well even though it is shocking news.

I would like just to formally Congratulate Coach Bu on his Hall of Fame career, and wish him luck in his future endeavors.

Bad day for the fish?

coach bu will finally get to enjoy his first love. All during his childhood he was seen at all the lakes and rivers ,with this said rumor has it coach bu is going to start montini high schools bass fishing team ,also he will be asking the ihsa to start an ice fishing state tourn. Which bu is very fond of , so it looks to me like the trophy cases at montini will need more room in them when coach bu finishes hus dream .....good luck coach,

All the Best to You BU

Coach Mike "BU" Bukovsky

The most committed and dedicated coach to his athletes that I have ever been associated with.
I'm glad you recognized coach John D "Javo" - you two, were like two-peas-in-a-pod together over the years.
My two sons are privileged to have been under your tutelage over the years.
We wish You, and your family "All the Best" for the rest of your lives.

Rick Winel

* You stated that "Izzy is the best techincian in the country". My hopes are that the administration will promote Izzy to fill your shoes.

I wrestled for Mike Bukovsky's first vasity squad in 1995. He is one of the most infuential people in my life. He has been a mentor, coach, and friend. I am so proud to be part of the Montini history, and I hope that Mike enjoys his time with his family.

I would assume that would be hard for him as alot of conflict of interest with his wrestling school.

Maybe Coach Izzo could start coaching there again. Good guy. Good coach. Just a thought.

Never met or knew Coach Bu. What a tremendous contibutor he has been to the sport. Pipeline or not, wrestlers didn't die on the vine in his program. Few people go through life and do anything really well as it usually requires too great a sacrifice. He did! Wish I knew him, I'm sure I could have learned a lot from him. Sounds like he knows what he wants to do and what he needs to do. Good for him! Wrestling owes him a great deal.
