Thank you for your kind words, halfman. The team is looking pretty solid this year, especially for a first year program. we have a good mix of transfers and incoming freshmen and we will definitly make an impact in the NAIA this coming season and in the following years. We are in Indiana's 'hotspot' of wrestling(and very close to Illinois), and Coach Vega has done a great job of bringing in talented wrestlers and pushing us to our limits. I really hope that in future seasons, we can draw wrestlers from the CCL, being that we are a catholic college located very close to many of the CCL schools. Coach Vega has brought in a great wealth of coaching knowledge, having wrestled for and been an assistant under J Robinson of Minnesota. The reason i started looking at calumet was the fact that its a very affordable school, but upon speaking with Coach Vega, I knew it would be a good fit for me. I hope that my team and I can have the support of the Illinois wrestling community, because even though we are in Indiana, we are right on the Indiana/Illinois State line, and I would love to have more Illinois guys on the team because I know from being on Team Illinois in high school, that Illinois boys come out to win it.
