Looking For Some Volunteer Writers

The high school wrestling season is just around the corner with most teams having their first dual meets next week. Before we know it, the season will have flown by and it will be state tournament time.

Since taking over the website earlier this year, I have added several new features in the hopes of making this website even more of a valuable resource to the Illinois wrestling community than it already was. The website got a completely new look, and I've added:

• A rankings system that makes it easy for Flashy and the AA Rankings Team to update the Illinois Matmen Class A and AA individual and team rankings
• A results system to keep track of dual meet results from around the state
• Illinois Matmen Live to bring you audio interviews with some of the biggest names in Illinois wrestling
• The Burk Blog to give you a behind the scenes look at NCAA Division I wrestling at Northern Illinois University

I couldn't do it without the help of our sponsors, the wrestling community, and the volunteers that contribute to the website. I'd especially like to thank Flashy for the Class A rankings, our AA Rankings Team, and Mr. Twister for his column and the IM Live interviews.

I am seeking a few more volunteers that would be interested in writing feature articles for the Illinois Matmen front page. There would be no set number of articles required. If you are interested, please Contact Illinois Matmen noting any writing experience and indicating which areas/schools/tournaments you would be able to cover. Thanks!
