McCaffrey is a senior and he has been at the OTC in Colorado Springs for months now.

English went back to Indiana, won it his junior year and lost his entire senior year after he transfered to a school with a less competitive program than the one he was at. Last I heard about English was that Old Dominion was after him in a big way.

Two GREAT reasons why: Henry Cejudo at 55 kgs. and all of the college studs at 60 kgs. And those are the guys who are only at the FILA Junior World level.

What I am saying is that he knows better than anyone else what his skills and strengths are at this point and where they fit within those two weight classes. He chose to drop 20-plus pounds to go 110 for reasons only he can reveal. Unless he comes on here and says it himself, all we can do is speculate as to why he did it. My suspicions lead me to believe what I stated before.

Tofurky is right...I hate it when people go up or down a wt class and people accuse them of ducking people. Why does anybody cut weight? Its to go the weight class that they feel they will have the best results at. Obviously, Henry Cejudo is a great reason for McCaffrey to cut down to 50 kilos, but McCaffrey probably also feels that 50 kilos will be the best weight class for him to have a chance at winning a jr. world title.
