Peyton Manning, he gone
http://m.espn.go.com/nfl/story?storyId=7653897
I hope he lands somewhere with some weapons and wins right away while the Colts struggle with a rookie qb and little talent elsewhere.

Far too expensive.

Of course it's about $$$$....the 28 million bonus. I just hope that Manning ends up in Houston so he can kick Indy's butt twice a year.

They like Schaub and AZ can't clear enough cap space without messing up the rest of the team. My guess would be the Skins or KC with Seattle having an outside chance due to their dome. The Skins can pay him if he wants to play against his brother twice a year.

I have no problem with what the Colts did. They paid him quite well over the years. To pay him 28 million to be a mentor would be crazy. If he doesnt play football again they could bring him back as a coach for much less than that.
As for him playing? At his age and condition it would be a tough sale for me to believe he can comeback and be effective. |

Just a few of the Miami upsides...an excellent LT to cover his blindside, Reggie Bush, Brandon Marshall, could bring in Reggie Wayne, AND a head coach, albiet new, that would probably hand the offense over to Peyton...

That has to be one of the bigger factors in his decision. His ability to control the plays at the line is what made him so great. As he gets older his skills will diminish, and his knowledge will have to be a bigger part. Finding a team that will allow that has to be difficult. For instance, under Martz, I think he would just retire.
