Valentine Wins

What a miraculous recovery. The shoulder brace was a nice touch.

Yep, hallelujah! Miracles do happen. Now for reality…the Head Coach has ownership just as much as the “kid” since the head coach is suppose to be the leader / mentor to these young men. He is supposed to be the adult. Too many times I have seen the win at any cost and at any price to standards and integrity attitude and culture. I’ve seen this I'm injured tactic before by this child. Yes, he is a child in word and deed; at least what he shows to others. It’s a shame how his opponent last night had his win stolen from him and I feel bad for that young man.
Anything is only as good as its leaders and the projected perception. If a wrestler makes gestures like grabbing himself, call the other wrestler “punk *ss Bi*ch” and other “classy” things after his win but throws his headgear, storms out and slams doors when they lose than how can others who don’t know him really give any other thought other than what was perceived by his actions. Oh, if you read this and get offended; I recommend table tennis. I will also stand behind my direct observations and opinions. Good luck to the real competitors and wrestlers down there.

I am just glad to see that Cogeshall is not eliminated and can still place. He deserves more than that first round debacle. Good luck Jonah. You deserve a second chance and you got it. Make the best of it and we will all be cheering for you. Next time though, hold on tighter to that wrist.

Real Injury
Like my grandkid and others who are injured who wrestle with big hearts it hurts. So when this child pulls(like always) this injured card it just gets me sick. I feel alot better reading this post and I stand with you on this post. I just want to say to the real injured wrestlers speedy recovery and I enjoyed three days of some great wrestling. Great Post

Obviously he was hurt...he injury defaulted his meddling match. I don't know of a single senior in the world who would be happy with their last match being a loss...Valentine would only have one reason to forfeit to Bonnell, and that reason is if he was really injured.

My understanding is he had a pre-existing injury because he probably came back too soon from a surgery...he has been hurt all season...so just because an opponent gets hit for an illegal move and an already hurt injury is nagging, you don't quit and take the win...thats why they changed the rule that says u can default and give the other guy the win. It disgusts me.

To all of you out there that are bashing me I would like to let you all know that I did not fake an injury to get a win. Yes it is a preexisting injury and a surgery is needed but my doctor let me wrestle my senior year before we had it done. If you watched the match you would see that he intentionally hurt my shoulder. And I was cleared by a specialist before continuing in other matches. I have never won by dq before that match. I did not even know I got an illegal hold call I thought I was forfeiting the match to jonah. And if you were to watch my other matches I was favoring my shoulder in all of them. Like me or hate me I have my fans and nonsupporters just like everyone else. But to be bashing me with no knowledge of what happened is inmature and ignorant. But I dont need the illinoismatmen supporters to know that I have had a successful career.
