Got it too. It's a trojan to get your credit card number. Virus scan should find easily and remove. I kind of think I acquired from this site.

I haven't got it yet. Hope not too.
Sorry to hear about the bad news.

A lot of times I hit Illinois Matmen Forums in my Favorites.
My Anti-Virus Gives a Red signal and tells me something is trying to load - malacious & dangerous. It blocks it though.

I see viruses and malware like this at least once a week at work. The first thing I would do is try to do a system restore. The easiest way to do it is to reboot your machine and start tapping the F8 key and boot into safe mode. select safe mode or safe mode with networking when prompted. when the machine finishes booting, a message window will pop up, click on the No button, this will open system restore. on the system restore window, choose a date before you got the virus. when the restore is done, the computer will reboot. once it is back up, log in as normal. another system restore window will open. look in the top right corner of the window, it will say whether the system restore was successful or not. if it was successful, you should be okay now. if its says the system cannot be restored, you will need to do some more work. see below:

some viruses will disable system restore, so you may have to down load and install a few programs to get it cleared up. first, go to:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/down...ti-virus/rkill

and download and run iExplore.exe. this program will stop most viruses from from running so it can be removed by the next program i would advise you to install and run, which is called malwarebytes. go here to download the free version.

http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free

choose the full scan, depending on the size of your hard drive, it may take a while. follow the instructions to remove any questionable files it finds.

please post back to let me know how it works.

Come on Twist, Mac propoganda from you? lol.... I haven't heard much about ipads yet, but Macs get viruses too. Granted, not like the PC, but they are out there.

No, but then you have the issue of every time you install a game or productivity software, printer, etc...you have "Mac users go to (fill in the blank) to install...

That is an excellent recap of what to do. Its not this sites fault, it probably goes after all sites that use this forum software - but I kinda think I got it from this site also. I don't go to that many sites, and don't come to this site all that often lately, but it has come up twice after going to this site. Had the virus protection software off for a bit & forgot. Ouch. I only mention it because the system administrator should be made aware or may want to notify the software vendor. Just a theory, so I thought I'd ask around.
