people who dislike the 3 class system, now have a place to vent. Instead of making new threads about how dumb the IHSA continues to be.

The three class system provides the press with more stories of great effort and sacrifice. We all want to hear a better story but not until you have a one class system can the ultimate epic tale to be called "Illinois State Champion".

That being said I enjoy more stories, there are 42 great being written this week. Good Luck to all the kids.

Who everyone needs to watch out for is jared parvinmehr. I saw him wrestle at u of i and was surprised for a kid who wasnt on varsity he was taking down good varsity kids left and right. He is in 3A and he wrestles for barrington. he was 103 but behind the beasrly gonzalez. He was a freshman conference champ. Watch out

i think divisions should be based off the line up and experiences.
my team has a line up so low, it'l be a cold day in hell before we win a meet.
and tf north only got 3 guys, so it'll be a waste of time.

After watching Individual and Team, i would like to say 3 classes was a success. In a sense that some kids and teams got some hardware who might not have. With that being said, i still dislike it for Individual. For team it is a great idea. I say to solve who from AA would be entered in team state, would be the highest placing "AA" team in that Normal AA Regional, would be that "AA" regional champ.

    i dislike the 3 classes.
    1. if you were to make it 1 class all wreslters would have brand new competition.
    2. If u combined the 3 classes it would only better the wrestlers and " freshining up" their wrestling moves.
    3. You can still divide it up by greckl, folkstyle, and freestyle ( idk if IL> has greckl) i dont know how to spell it..

but i see the sense in 3 classes.. too much travel for one day meets.
but us in the 3AAA is unfair... it has harder teams and harder tournaments.

I think Dylan Reel is good I saw him last year when he won state. I just wanna know what will he do when he has to actually wrestle instead of hitting the big throw.lol

I saw a guy go at it with Matt Boggess it was a good match, even though Boggess won it was close. the kid was from Hersey at 145 and he is a Junior so watch out, by the way he should probably be ranked or atleast a HM.

You we probably could have seen Dylan Reel vs. a proven guy like Matt Boggess if we didnt add a 3rd class this year. Just a FYI.

I think adding a third class is great, i also think what they should do is alloow more wrestling between the 3 classes. Maybe we could see no.1 ranked Dylan Reel vs. a proven guy like Matt Boggess or even a up coming sleeper like Demetrios Mitchell of Hersey. I have a thought How about some of the top 103 pounders go at it and last but not least 160 should shape up to be interesting 3 champs at each weight class makes a lot of since, for if 3 is crazy 2 seems to be the same. How about we wrestle the season then have a 100 man tournament until we get down to 1 winner for each weight class? I could see it now the tourney would last a damn week or so. lol
